Smartlinks are not tied to the initial phone number or email they were sent to initially. If you receive a smartlink but want to share it with someone else, you can forward the text message to that person. They will also be able to access the smartlink.
Smartlinks are only compatible with Apple or Android smartphones and tablets. If you have received a link via email on your computer, you will need to open it on a smart device.
If you can't access the original email on your mobile device or are experiencing issues downloading the Truepic app, follow these expanded troubleshooting steps:
Locate the Inspection Email: Find the email containing the smartlink in your inbox.
Forward or Copy the Smartlink: Forward the entire email to a personal email address accessible on a different device, or copy and paste the smartlink into a new email to yourself.
Open the Link on a Supported Device: Access the forwarded or self-sent email on a device compatible with the Truepic app (Apple or Android). Paste the link into the device's mobile browser.
Follow Redirection: The smartlink will guide you either to the appropriate app store to download the app or directly start the inspection process if the app is not required.
Delegating the Inspection
If you are unable to complete the inspection or encounter technical barriers, consider delegating the task:
Arrange Assistance: Contact your inspection organizer or insurance provider to request help. They can send someone to take the required photos and complete the process on your behalf.
If you still encounter an issue with accessing the smartlink, we may be able send a text to your phone for you. Please reach out to the support team for assistance. Alternatively, you can coordinate with the inspection organizer or insurer to arrange for someone else to complete the process on your behalf.
