Camera/Microphone Permissions Error: Web App
This information pertains to the Vision Web App only. Links for this web app begin with web.truepicvision.com.
If your link begins with app.truepicvision.com or visionbytruepic.com, or if you have been asked to use the Truepic Vision app, this information will not be applicable.
If you click on a photo or video question in the Vision Web App and receive the error "Camera/microphone permission denied", this is likely because certain camera permissions are not set for the browser on your device. Please note that the only browser supported when using the Vision Web App on an Android device is Google Chrome.
The error should display like in the screenshot below.
2. Go to the Settings app on your Android device, and select "Apps".
3. Go to "Chrome".
4. Go to Permissions.
5. Find Camera; if it is not allowed, click on it.
6. Change Camera permissions to either Allowed or Ask.
7. Do the same with Microphone. If either is not enabled, enable them; Microphone permissions are required for Camera permissions to work.
8. Go back to the web app in Chrome, where you started; if you cannot find the Chrome app, please click on the link you received asking you to use the web app.
9. On the address bar on the page, locate the icon to the left that looks like 2 lollipops sideways and click it.
10. Click Permissions.
11. Ensure both Camera and Microphone are allowed.
12. Click back on the website, refresh the page, and click on the Allow Access button under Camera/Microphone permissions again.
13. Chrome should prompt you to allow camera permissions. Click either of the Allow options.
The camera error should now be successfully resolved, and you can move forward with using the Vision Web App.
